Educational Programs

Newspapers In Education produces programs with specialized curricula throughout each school year. Our award-winning programs cover topics such as Native American heritage, geography, aquatic science, reading, financial literacy and health.

Teachers who do not request daily access to the print replica may still sign up to receive specific programs as they are promoted throughout the year. Check our homepage and join our Facebook group for more announcements about upcoming programs.

Make sure you are using these programs to your students' full advantage! Here's how to use these programs:

+Almost all of our programs include lessons printed in The Oklahoman. You can access and use these lessons in your classroom through computers, a SMART or Promethean board, or by printing and photocopying them! Just be sure to open the print replica of The Oklahoman each day that the lessons are published (we'll make sure you have this information) and flip through the pages until you see the lessons clearly labeled with the lesson subject. Our lessons are always in the A section on a color page, so they’re easy to find!

+Some of our programs also have student workbooks or wraps of which hard copies are delivered to schools, or mailed to schools outside of our delivery area by request. The lessons for these programs supplement the printed student materials and cover the content in the same order. The lessons might run something like every Tuesday for six weeks. So, you would start working through the curriculum with your students with the beginning of the workbook and first in-paper lesson. Then, wait until next week, and pick up the curriculum again when the second lesson is published, until the end of the lesson series. These programs also typically have teacher's guides that you can download below.

PDFs of all programs dating back to the 2008-2009 school year are stored here, for you to continue using with students year after year! Please be patient as the files load.
