Full Description: In partnership with the Cherokee Nation, Chickasaw Nation and the Oklahoma History Center we are proud to present Traditions in Transition. Take an in depth look at how these tribes were influenced by western thought as they transitioned from the southeastern part of North America to the Central Plains. See how clothing, sports, language and beadwork developed as the Western influence became greater. The foundation for all four of these areas are still steeped in Native American tradition.
